No Tux

December 21st, 2006

If you know me (Pete) you know I am not a tuxedo kid of guy. I don’t own a tie. Heck, I don’t even like wearing shirts with buttons on them! That doesn’t mean I won’t be dressed somewhat formal for the wedding. So for those of you showing up, you’ll get to see me dressed all fancy (but not too fancy… No tuxedos!) And for those of you not able to attend, I’m sure there will be photos on this site and over on Flickr

Wedding Dress!!

December 19th, 2006

Although I can’t show you all a photo of my wedding dress, for fear that Pete may see it, I can tell you about it! After much searching and trying on, I settled on a classic strapless A-line number with an ivory satin skirt and lace bodice. It is full length (I was toying with the idea of a cocktail-length dress) and has the slightest little bit of train. I bought it at this great little shop in Hartland, Wisconsin called Jilene’s Bridal. The shop seems small (and it actually is) but the selection is amazing and the owner is absolutely fantastic–she is actually storing my dress for me until I pick it up the day before the wedding!

But, the piece de resistance is the veil–Gorgeous!! I knew as soon as I saw it that it was the one for me…Funny how that works with veils and men! It is a beautiful antique ivory with bronze, pearl and ivory accents around the edge.

Now to find the perfect shoes…
